Hayleigh Barclay
A Scottish writer with a Doctorate in Creative Writing from the University of Glasgow, Haylaigh’s research involved 19th century Gothic Vampire literature and contemporary female Goths. Lover of all things witchy and magical, when she is not liking pictures of motorcycles on social media, she is watching supernatural shows on Netflix or plugged into her iPod.

Lynn Genevieve
During her career as a midwife, Lynn worked in the NHS and as an Independent Midwife. As an active member of the Association off Radical Midwives, she has been a regular contributor to their magazine, Midwifery Matters since the 1990s. Lynn gained an MLitt Creative Writing at the University of Glasgow in 2021 and is currently studying for a Doctorate focussing on a fantasy trilogy about midwives past and future. She won the ‘Dragon’s Pen’ award from the Scottish Association of Writers 2021 and has had short stories and poetry published in books and magazines.

Sylvia Hehir
Sylvia was awarded a doctorate in creative writing from University of Glasgow in 2018 and is a former recipient of a Scottish Book Trust New Writer Award.
Her debut YA thriller, Sea Change was winner of the Pitlochry Quaich and was shortlisted for the Caledonia Novel Award. Sylvia enjoys living by the sea in the West Highlands of Scotland.

Colin Skeath
Colin has an extensive mountaineering background and has climbed rock faces and mountains across Europe, Africa and America. After 30 years in the mountains he bought a canoe and his passion switched. Following his retirement from West Yorkshire Police, where in 2018 he was awarded an MBE for Services to Policing and the Community, Colin relocated to the Scottish West Highlands. Here, he pursues his love of canoeing and is one of the most experienced coastal canoeists in the UK.
Only Fools and White Horses is his first publication.
